Der Baseballschläger – er wird Anfang der Neunzigerjahre im Osten zum Symbol für rechtsradikalen Terror. Nazis prügeln mit ihm auf alles ein, was irgendwie anders ist: auf Migranten, Homosexuelle, Linke. Und die Polizei schaut häufig einfach nur zu. Später wird man die Zeit als "die Baseballschlägerjahre" bezeichnen. Eine Ära, in der Hetzjagden auf Migranten und angezündete Asylbewerberheime fast schon normal sind.SPIEGEL TV-Reporterin Caro Niebisch und Cutter Philipp Schneuer dokumentieren dies Zeit in einer dreiteiligen Video-Serie. Dafür wurden bisher ungesendete Materialien verwendet - eine Serie über ein dunkles Kapitel deutscher Geschichte.
