El presidente Trump se está preparando para enviar tropas de la Guardia Nacional a Chicago y Baltimore, justo después de que un juez de California dictaminara que el despliegue de tropas en Los Ángeles para reprimir las manifestaciones contra el Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) constituyó una violación de la ley. “No tiene nada que ver con la seguridad pública ni con la ley y el orden. Es una demostración de fuerza dirigida a intimidar, generar miedo y ocupar con tropas militares ciudades cuya población se opone mayoritaria y contundentemente a Donald Trump y sus políticas”, señala Jesús “Chuy” García, quien creció en Chicago y ahora representa al área metropolitana de Chicago en el Congreso de Estados Unidos.
