Sianna, penyandang disabilitas ganda, terus berlatih menjadi kreator konten supaya publik tahu “bagaimana kehidupan disabilitas ganda” seperti dirinya.Perempuan berusia 41 tahun itu ingin membongkar cara pandang lama terhadap disabilitas yang selama ini menghambat kesetaraan hak dan perlakuan.
Sianna didiagnosis tuli sejak kecil setelah kemampuan pendengarannya menurun usai demam tinggi.
Saat berusia 17 tahun, penglihatannya juga mulai menurun setelah menjalani operasi katarak. Bertahun-tahun kemudian, pandangannya menyempit hingga ia mengibaratkannya seperti mengintip lewat lubang sedotan.
Bagi Sianna, membuat konten bukan sekadar hadir di media sosial. Ia ingin pengalaman penyandang disabilitas diceritakan oleh mereka sendiri. Salah satunya konten yang ingin dia buat adalah tentang tempat-tempat yang belum ramah disabilitas.
Harapannya, masyarakat dan pembuat kebijakan lebih memahami kebutuhan penyandang disabilitas sehingga akses yang setara bisa terwujud.
