Awalnya Presiden Trump berterima kasih pada negara-negara yang hadir di KTT Mesir mengusung perdamaian Gaza.
Ia kemudian menyapa Indonesia, sembari mengatakan mendatangi Prabowo dan bersalaman.
Saat itulah, Presiden Prabowo mendapatkan tepuk tangan meriah daripada pemimpin dunia.
Sembari kembali ke podium, Donald Trump juga melayangkan sanjungan atas kerja keras Indonesia.
Presiden Prabowo Subianto memerintahkan Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) untuk mulai menyiapkan pasukan perdamaian yang akan dikirim ke Gaza, Palestina, jika hasil Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) Perdamaian Gaza di Mesir menghasilkan kesepakatan konstruktif dan mendapat persetujuan dari Dewan Keamanan PBB.
Perintah tersebut disampaikan langsung oleh Presiden kepada Wakil Panglima TNI Jenderal Tandyo Budi Revita dalam rapat terbatas di kediamannya, Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, Minggu (12/10/2025) malam.
Dalam forum Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB), Prabowo telah menyatakan kesiapan Indonesia mengirim hingga 20.000 prajurit TNI untuk bergabung dalam misi perdamaian, apabila mendapat mandat resmi dari lembaga internasional tersebut.
KTT Perdamaian Gaza di Sharm el-Sheikh akan dipimpin langsung oleh Presiden Mesir Abdul Fattah al-Sisi dan Presiden Amerika Serikat Donald Trump, serta dihadiri oleh lebih dari 20 kepala negara dan Sekretaris Jenderal PBB Antonio Guterres.
