Terduga peneror mengirim pesan melalui email ke Kementerian Perhubungan di Jakarta, dengan bahasa Inggris yang berisikan ancaman akan meledakkan pesawat jika mendarat di bandara Soekarno-Hatta.
Sebab, terduga pelaku menyebut sudah ada bahan peledak di dalam pesawat yang menurut informasi ditaruh ke barang bawaan penumpang.
Karena pesan masuk ketika pesawat memasuki wilayah Indonesia, pesawat pun akhirnya mendarat darurat di bandara Internasional Kualanamu. (*)
