Mengutip dari Al Jazeera pada (8/10) ia mengatakan kepada penyiar publik Israel, bahwa pemerintah tengah menyiapkan aturan.
Untuk mengakhiri perang, dengan syarat Hamas tidak lagi memegang kendali maupun tanggung jawab atas Gaza.
Namun, Hamas menolak tegas tuntutan tersebut.
Tokoh seniornya, Mousa Abu Marzouk, menyebut pelucutan senjata sebagai “garis merah.”
Serta meminta Israel menurunkan ekspektasinya.
Abu Marzouk menilai, janji gencatan senjata seharusnya lebih penting dibanding memperdebatkan jumlah senjata yang dimiliki Hamas.
Sementara itu, analis politik regional menilai tuntutan Israel tersebut berpotensi menggagalkan perundingan damai.
Mereka menilai syarat itu akan semakin memperdalam ketegangan dan memperpanjang penderitaan warga sipil Gaza yang hingga kini masih hidup di bawah ancaman serangan udara dan blokade ketat.
