El asesor presidencial ruso, Yuri Ushakov, indicó que el presidente de Rusia, Vladímir Putin, sostuvo una conversación telefónica con su homólogo estadounidense, Donald Trump, la noche del lunes. Ushakov señaló que la conversación se centró en el conflicto de Irán y en las negociaciones trilaterales para hallar una solución en Ucrania. Trump reiteró su interés en poner fin rápidamente al conflicto en Ucrania con un cese al fuego para lograr una solución a largo plazo.
