La scena è alla Stazione Centrale di Milano, il pomeriggio del 6 agosto. Gli agenti della Polizia Ferroviaria, in borghese, vedono un gruppo di borseggiatori, due uomini e una donna, muoversi con fare sospetto tra i viaggiatori e cominciano a seguire i loro movimenti. I ladri accerchiano un 69enne e, approfittando del momento in cui il viaggiatore si trova sulle scale mobili, la donna (che indossa una maglia bianca a pois) con destrezza gli sfila il portafogli dalla tasca dei pantaloni, per poi nasconderlo nella borsa. I poliziotti, seguita la scena, hanno bloccato i tre ladri (due cittadini romeni di 52 e 59 anni e una connazionale di 54) e recuperato la refurtiva, restituendola al legittimo proprietario.
