Más muertes de niños en Cuba por crisis de salud: esto dijo el primer ministro Manuel Marrero
La mortalidad infantil infantil en Cuba registró una tasa de 9,8 por cada mil nacidos vivos, la cifra más alta de los últimos años y superior al 7 por cada mil registrado en 2024. Los datos fueron presentados el 18 de diciembre de 2025, ante la Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular.El primer ministro, Manuel Marrero Cruz, reconoció el impacto del aumento de arbovirosis, como dengue, zika y chikungunya, y reportó 52 muertes asociadas a estas enfermedades, la mayoría en menores de edad, aunque no aclaró si estas epidemias influyeron directamente en el incremento de la mortalidad infantil.
El dato se acerca a los niveles de los años 90 y evidencia un retroceso preocupante en los indicadores de Salud en la isla.
