Arabia Saudí, Turquía y Pakistán discuten sobre el fortalecimiento de la cooperación en defensa

Los jefes militares de Arabia Saudí, Pakistán y Turquía se reunieron en Riad para abordar el fortalecimiento de las relaciones en materia de defensa, en un contexto marcado por las recientes hostilidades entre Arabia Saudí y los hutíes de Yemen. Durante el encuentro, las conversaciones se centraron en las amenazas a la seguridad que enfrenta el reino saudí. Ante esta situación, los tres países acordaron hacer efectivos los compromisos asumidos en virtud del Acuerdo de Defensa Conjunta de La Meca, con énfasis en el intercambio de inteligencia, la coordinación militar y el fortalecimiento de capacidades. Asimismo, condenaron los ataques dirigidos contra la ciudad de La Meca, así como contra infraestructuras civiles y económicas de Arabia Saudí. En respuesta, Pakistán y Turquía reafirmaron su determinación de defender la seguridad, la soberanía y la integridad territorial de Arabia Saudí.
