Die Deutsche Bahn plant ein Alkoholverbot an allen 5.400 Bahnhöfen in Deutschland. Künftig soll bundesweit untersagt sein, auf Bahnsteigen oder in Bahnhofshallen außerhalb der Bahnhofsgastronomie Bier, Wein, Schnaps oder anderen Alkohol zu trinken. Die Maßnahme soll demnach zum Schutz von Mitarbeitenden und Reisenden sein. „Wir wollen mehr Ordnung und Sicherheit auf unseren Bahnhöfen und in unseren Zügen“, erklärte Bahnchefin Evelyn Palla.Die Gastronomie bleibt von dem Verbot ausgenommen. Und es ist weiterhin erlaubt, Alkohol verschlossen im Gepäck oder aus Einkäufen mitzuführen. Sicherheitskräfte der Bahn und von der Bundespolizei sollen die Maßnahme kontrollieren.
