Temui Kapolri Bahas Pengamanan Sepakbola, Erick Thohir: FIFA Acungkan Jempol!
Polri mendapatkan apresiasi dari Federasi FIFA terkait pengamanan penyelenggaraan sepakbola Indonesia. Hal tersebut diungkapkan oleh Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir usai bertemu dengan Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo di Mabes Polri, Jakarta Selatan, Senin (15/7/2024). Pertemuan itu membahas kesiapan pengamanan kompetisi Piala Presiden 2024."Saya rasa, pihak kepolisian, kemarin FIFA juga menyampaikan mengacungkan jempol, ketika juga tidak segan-segan ada oknum yang melakukan kerusuhan itu langsung ditahan," kata Erick.
Erick menjelaskan, apresiasi FIFA tersebut lantaran tingginya komitmen dari Pemerintah, FIFA, PSSI, dan Polri, dalam rangka mengamankan persepakbolaan tanah air.
Salah satu komitmen yang konkret adalah, semua pihak di antaranya Polri di bawah komando Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo telah berkomitmen memberikan pengamanan untuk keselamatan bagi pemain, offisial, penonton ataupun suporter.
"Nah ini yang mau kita lakukan. Jadi semua kita lakukan ini untuk proteksi dari pada suporter sendiri supaya bisa pulang, nah coba kita bandingkan kerja sama PSSI dengan pihak kepolisian mengenai tim nasional," ujar Erick.
"Karena kalau kita lihat di Copa America pun ya ada dua tiga game kemarin ada suporter yang berjibaku bahkan ada keluarga pemain yang diganggu atau hari ini sempat delay karena ada beberapa terobosan, nah hal-hal ini yang memang kita harus antisipasi," tambahnya.
