MÖNCHE FÜR FRIEDEN: "Es ist eine Botschaft, auch für Donald Trump!" – Tausende folgen dem MarschWochenlang sind 19 buddhistische Mönche durch die USA gewandert, um ein Zeichen für Frieden in der Welt zu setzen. Bei Wind und Wetter marschierten sie 15 Wochen, 110 Tage, 3700 Kilometer von Texas nach Washington DC – meist schweigend, unerschütterlich und unbeirrt. Der Schweigemarsch löste einen Hype aus: Mit 1,9 Millionen Followern verfolgten Menschen ihre Reise online live. Viele beschreiben die Mönche als Hoffnungssymbol in einer gespaltenen Welt. Am Washington Monument endete der Marsch offiziell, doch die Mönche planen, weiter für Frieden zu demonstrieren und Mitgefühl zu fördern.
