En las últimas horas, el Secretario de Defensa de Estados Unidos, Pete Heagseth, anunció en X el inicio de “Southern Spear”, una nueva operación militar enfocada en proteger la seguridad nacional y combatir el narcotráfico. La operación estaría liderada por el Comando Sur, desplegado desde hace semanas en el Caribe, muy cerca de las costas de Venezuela.Tras el anuncio, varios analistas han advertido que esta movida podría ser el preludio de una intervención militar terrestre por parte de Estados Unidos en territorio venezolano.
