Mit Blick auf die AfD spricht sich Krings für klare „rote Linien“ statt des Begriffs Brandmauer aus: Eine Zusammenarbeit lehnt er ab. Auch Friedrich Merz nimmt er in die Pflicht. Der Kanzler habe Fehler gemacht, müsse nun aber die anstehenden Reformen vorantreiben.
