El metro de Shanghai puso en marcha una nueva opción de pago para facilitar los viajes, especialmente a los visitantes internacionales. A partir del 28 de junio, para poder hacer uso de cualquier estación de la red de metro, los pasajeros solo tendrán que acercar sus tarjetas bancarias sin contacto, incluidas UnionPay, Visa y Mastercard, a los lectores, por lo que ya no será necesario comprar los billetes. Pero eso no es todo: el sistema también admite monederos digitales de yuanes emitidos por bancos autorizados. El objetivo es que los viajeros nacionales y extranjeros puedan viajar sin necesidad de utilizar dinero en efectivo."Tras introducir los pagos con códigos QR en yuanes digitales en 2024, ahora hemos actualizado la tecnología "tap-and-go" o pago sin contacto. Nos comprometemos a seguir innovando para facilitar los pagos a las personas mayores, los pasajeros con discapacidad y los viajeros internacionales, garantizando la inclusión de todos", explicó Xiao Jun, subdirectora general del Banco de Comunicaciones de Shanghai.
