Beim Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt sind auf Antrag bis zu 40 Arbeitstage im Ausland möglich – selbst außerhalb Europas. Kritiker sprechen von der "Mallorca-Regel" und halten diese Vorgaben für nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Vertreter der Deutschen Polizeigewerkschaft fordern Änderungen. Während viele Unternehmen ihre Mitarbeiter wieder häufiger ins Büro holen, gelten in Teilen des öffentlichen Dienstes weiterhin Regelungen aus der Corona-Zeit.
