Why Is Seven Samurai So Influential?
Seven Samurai analysis usually starts with the plot, and for good reason: Akira Kurosawa Seven Samurai (1954) follows farmers who hire samurai to defend their village against bandits, and in doing so basically invented the "teaming up" movie — the template behind everything from Saving Private Ryan to Ocean's Eleven to Rogue One.
