Insiden ini melibatkan Mobil Toyota Innova Zenix dengan nopol N 1086 EL yang menabrak Truk Mitsubishi bernopol DK 8348 CT.
Diketahui bahwa mobil Innova Zenix tersebut membawa sebanyak enam orang termasuk sopir.
Dua korban dilaporkan tewas, satu luka ringan, dan satu orang menerima luka berat.
Dua korban tewas tersebut merupakan sepasang suami istri yang ternyata adalah PCNU Pamekasan, Taufiq Hasyim beserta istrinya, Amiroh Mawad Mawaddah (29).
Sementara untuk truk Mitsubishi yang dikendarai oleh warga Ledokombo, Jember dilaporkan berhasil selamat.
Menurut Kasat PJR Ditlantas Polda Jatim, AKBP Hendrix Kusuma Wardhana, kecelakaan terjadi lantaran pengemudi Innova Zenix diduga mengalami micro sleep.
Hal itu yang kemudian menyebabkan laju kendaraan hilang arah sehingga berakhir menabrak belakang truk.
Dalam foto yang kami terima, tampak kondisi mobil yang ditumpangi Taufiq Hasyim ringsek nyaris tak berbentuk.
Terkini Kanit Gakkum Satlantas Polres Probolinggo Kota, Ipda Farouk tengah melakukan penyelidikan lebih lanjut di tempat kejadian perkara (TKP).
