SUMATERA SELATAN, KOMPAS.TV - Semangat hidup tak pernah padam dari tangan renta Zubaidah, nenek berusia 73 tahun asal Palembang. Setiap hari, ia meracik martabak ubi dengan penuh ketekunan.

Usia senja tak menghalanginya untuk terus bekerja, menggantungkan harapan pada satu-satunya sumber nafkah yang telah ia tekuni selama hampir dua dekade.

Di rumah kayu sederhana di kawasan 7 Ulu, Kecamatan Seberang Ulu Satu, Palembang, tangan-tangan lemah Zubaidah masih cekatan mengolah adonan martabak.

Meski usia terus bertambah, semangatnya untuk mencari nafkah tak pernah surut.

Sudah 18 tahun Zubaidah menekuni usaha martabak isi. Awalnya, ia menggunakan kentang sebagai bahan utama. Namun, sejak harga bahan pokok melonjak dalam dua tahun terakhir, ia beralih menggunakan ubi.

Pilihan tersebut justru membawa berkah, martabak ubi racikannya tetap digemari pelanggan, bahkan bisa terjual hingga 500 buah per hari.
