Kelompok Lebanon tersebut mengatakan mereka telah meluncurkan setidaknya 40 roket.
Hal ini sebagai respons terhadap serangan udara Israel baru-baru ini di Lebanon.
Termasuk pembunuhan salah satu agennya pada hari sebelumnya di kota Sohor.
Sementara itu, Pasukan Pertahanan Israel mengatakan sebagian besar roket yang ditembakkan dalam serangan besar di kota Safed di utara dan komunitas sekitarnya berhasil dijatuhkan oleh sistem pertahanan udara Iron Dome.
Polisi mengatakan beberapa roket menyebabkan kerusakan pada properti.
Sementara Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan mengatakan pihaknya sedang berupaya memadamkan api yang dipicu oleh serangan itu.
Sirene berbunyi di Safed dan beberapa kota di Galilea di tengah rentetan serangan, yang diklaim Hizbullah sebagai tanggung jawabnya.
Dalam pernyataannya, kelompok teror tersebut mengaku telah meluncurkan puluhan roket Katyusha ke pangkalan militer Israel di Galilea.
Hizbullah telah menyebutkan 353 anggotanya yang dibunuh oleh Israel selama pertempuran yang sedang berlangsung, sebagian besar di Lebanon tetapi beberapa juga di Suriah.
Di Lebanon, 64 anggota kelompok teror lainnya, seorang tentara Lebanon, dan puluhan warga sipil telah terbunuh.
Meningkatnya ketegangan antara Hizbullah dan Israel membuat Jerman mendesak warganya untuk meninggalkan Lebanon ‘segera’.
Israel dan kelompok bersenjata Hizbullah Lebanon hampir setiap hari saling melancarkan serangan lintas perbatasan sejak perang di Gaza dimulai pada bulan Oktober, dan ketegangan meningkat dalam beberapa pekan terakhir.
Hal ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran bahwa perang besar-besaran mungkin akan terjadi di wilayah tersebut.(*)
