«La vita non sarà più la stessa senza Giorgia, ma so che non ci lascerà mai davvero». È la voce della mamma, Francesca Doretto, a rompere il silenzio nella chiesa dell’Immacolata di Lourdes di Conegliano, dove oggi pomeriggio, sabato 5 settembre, si è celebrato il funerale di Giorgia Kus, 11 anni, conosciuta come la “Principessa Sorriso”. Giorgia è morta il 27 agosto all’ospedale di Alicante, in Spagna, dopo anni segnati da una rarissima malattia e da problemi respiratori e polmonari. «È stato il regalo migliore che ci siamo mai fatti – ha detto la madre ricordando la figlia insieme al papà William –. Ho potuto ridere, piangere, ma soprattutto litigare con lei. Era la mia vita e io la amerò per sempre, da qui alla luna e ritorno». A salutarla anche la scuola. «Ci hai trasmesso la tua straordinaria forza di vivere e il tuo splendido sorriso», è stato letto a nome della dirigente Ada Vendrame, dei docenti della scuola primaria “Dante Alighieri” e del personale dell’Istituto Comprensivo Conegliano 2 “G.B.
