CHP lideri Özgür Özel, CHP'li il başkanlarıyla görüşmesinin ardından yaptığı açıklamada, tedbiren Genel Başkan olarak görevlendirilen Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu'nun Merkez Yönetim Kurulu'nun (MYK) kararıyla birçok il başkanının disipline sevk edilmesine tepki gösterdi, tüm partilileri görevden alınan il başkanlıklarına davet etti. Tedbir kararının sonuç doğurmaması gerektiğini vurgulayan Özel, "Tedbir kararı olanlar öyle gelip il başkanını görevden filan alamazlar, hele hele disipline sevk yapıp kimsenin oy verme hakkını hiç alamazlar. Dört başı mamur bir hukuksuzlukla karşı karşıyayız. Velev ki biz görevden alsak 40 gün sonra ilde kongre zorunludur. Seçime bir yıl kalan süre hariç 'Ben istemiyorum, aldım, yerine bir başkasını koydum, o yönetecek' diyemez" açıklamasında bulundu.
