(LaPresse) Circa 3mila persone almeno si sono concentrate in piazza Garibaldi, a Massa, da dove alle 21 è partita la fiaccolata in memoria di Giacomo Bongiorni, il 47enne morto dopo un'aggressione ad opera di alcuni giovani nella notte tra sabato e domenica. La processione, silenziosa, ha attraversato le strade della città fino ad arrivare a piazza Palma, dove si è consumata la tragedia.
"La popolazione ha reagito con solidarietà e vicinanza, una comunità che si stringe nel dolore e nella riflessione. Da qui cerchiamo di ripartire per costruire un futuro per la nostra comunità", ha affermato il sindaco Francesco Persiani, che ha preso parte al corteo. "Un fatto così grave richiede di approntare le dovute misure e contromisure; in questi anni abbiamo agito per rendere il centro storico più sicuro, per esempio implementando la videosorveglianza e dialogando puntualmente con le forze dell'ordine. Quella accaduta purtroppo è una tragedia, una tragedia speriamo isolata dovuta a circostanze sfortunate.
