NG4: Fresh MN [Chapter 11]
Finally, some good fucking food. Barring the (extremely) boring boss this is great chapter. Not too much on-rails stuff, fun fights, some cool optional fights and none of the more annoying enemies like Laterns are present. Ringouts continue to be potent, especially with Veteran DDO having so much HP.The first few fights I do a bit cagey since I had just bought all abilities and I really wasn't in the mood to rebuy them another time. That really is one of the biggest annoyances on Fresh runs.
Also has one of the more fun purgatories, which I had missed initially. So this was my first attempt at it and immediately got it haha, fun engagement even though Yakumo's absolute refusal to attack airborn enemies drives me up the wall.
The boss is more a timewaster than anything else. Phase 1 is incredibly easy when you know how, but I admit to dying there a ton too since I'd just get super impatient after running around for minutes on end waiting for a good opening. YY BRXX seems to be the best punish, good damage and quite fast. Phase 2 is a total crapshoot, you can play super solid but he can sometimes just no-sell BR moves and continue his barrage, do random 180 turns and OHKO you, or just zoom across the screen as a giant middle finger from the Platinum offices.
