Flying Splits Tutorial for Beginners | Step-by-Step Yoga Arm Balance | Day 24
Day 24 of my 30 Day Yoga in Nature Challenge is all about learning how to do Flying Splits, also known as Eka Pada Koundinyasana II! 🌿🤸♀️✨Today we’re breaking down one of my favorite yoga arm balances step-by-step so you can understand exactly how to enter the pose, where to place your weight, and how to use your core, upper-body strength, and flexibility to eventually find your Flying Splits.
Eka Pada Koundinyasana II may look intimidating, but we’ll work through the foundations and preparation you need to start making progress. We’ll focus on hip and hamstring flexibility, core engagement, shoulder and arm strength, weight shifting, and the body positioning that helps you find your balance.
Remember: you do NOT have to nail the final pose today! Yoga is a practice. Meet your body exactly where it is, play with the progression, and keep coming back. Every attempt is building the strength and body awareness you need. 💛
This tutorial is perfect for intermediate yogis working on arm balances, Flying Splits, yoga inversions, and more advanced yoga poses.
This is Day 24 of 30 — and for the remainder of this challenge, we’re going to explore more yoga tutorials in nature so you can learn some of the poses we've been practicing throughout the series! 🌿
