Brand in Mannheimer Innenstadt – Feuerwehr im Großeinsatz
Mannheim: Gegen 14 Uhr wurde die Berufsfeuerwehr Mannheim mit einem erweiterten Löschzug und dem Führungsdienst zu einem Brand in einem Gebäude im Quadrat U 1 alarmiert.Aufgrund zahlreicher Notrufe und der bestätigten Rauchentwicklung vor Ort erhöhte die Feuerwehr die Alarmstufe und forderte weitere Einsatzkräfte an. Zusätzlich wurde die Freiwillige Feuerwehr zur Besetzung der Hauptfeuerwache alarmiert.
Nach ersten Erkenntnissen brach das Feuer im Erdgeschoss eines Mode- und Schuhgeschäfts aus. Von dort breitete es sich über den Hinterhof auf ein angrenzendes Wohn- und Geschäftshaus aus. Die Löscharbeiten dauern weiterhin an. Um alle Glutnester vollständig zu löschen, muss das Lager aufwendig ausgeräumt werden.
Mehrere Personen wurden vor Ort durch den Rettungsdienst untersucht. Eine Person wurde leicht verletzt, eine weitere konnte nach ambulanter Versorgung vor Ort ohne weitere Behandlung entlassen werden.
Die breite Straße bleibt für die Dauer der Einsatzmaßnahmen voraussichtlich noch mindestens zwei Stunden gesperrt.
