Sebelumnya diketahui, Perdana Menteri Lebanon, Najib Mikati, memberi tanggapannya setelah serangan Israel menewaskan komandan senior Hizbullah.
Menurutnya, tewasnya komandan senior Hamas tersebut disengaja.
Kelompok militan Lebanon Hizbullah mengatakan, pihaknya balas dendam dengan menembakkan sejumlah roket ke posisi militer Israel di dekat perbatasan.
