Un fenomeno che si intreccia, nel dibattito mediatico, anche a casi di cronaca diventati simbolici: negli Stati Uniti ha fatto discutere, ad esempio, la vicenda giudiziaria di una madre del Massachusetts accusata di aver ucciso i tre figli, attorno alla quale si è mobilitata una raccolta fondi per la sua difesa legale.
Il "wokismo" come strumento di mobilitazione elettorale
Su questo scenario si è inserito l'editoriale di #BoniCastellane su #LaVerità, dal titolo "La sinistra globale molla il woke ma non il potere che le ha affruttato". Ospite di Stefano Molinari, l'editorialista ha spiegato che, a suo giudizio, l'ideologia #woke non sarebbe un'invenzione della destra ma una realtà concreta, oggi però abbandonata per il timore che possa far perdere le elezioni. Secondo l'analisi proposta, la polarizzazione del dibattito pubblico sui temi di genere sarebbe stata una scelta deliberata della sinistra per mobilitare un elettorato altrimenti disinteressato alla politica, in un contesto di globalizzazione che avrebbe svuotato di contenuti il confronto tradizionale tra destra e sinistra, spostando l'attenzione dal tema del lavoro a quello identitario.
