TEHERAN, KOMPAS.TV - Masoud Pezeshkian, seorang ahli bedah jantung menjadi presiden terpilih Iran usai dinyatakan menang dalam pemilihan presiden putaran kedua pada Sabtu (6/7/2024). Pezeshkian sampaikan pidato pertamanya usai dinyatakan presiden terpilih.Ratusan orang Iran berkumpul di Teheran untuk merayakan presiden baru yang terpilih dengan sorakan, slogan, dan doa.
Dirinya berbicara kepada publik untuk pertama kalinya sebagai presiden terpilih.
"Dalam pemilihan ini, saya tidak memberikan janji palsu. Saya tidak mengatakan hal-hal yang tidak bisa saya lakukan setelahnya. Saya tidak berbohong." Ujarnya.
Penghitungan suara yang ditawarkan oleh otoritas menempatkan Pezeshkian sebagai pemenang dengan 16,3 juta suara melawan 13,5 juta suara Jalili dalam pemilihan yang digelar pada hari Jumat.
