Today is Dhanteras, Happy Dhanteras to all of you. Dhanteras was an auspicious day for the country's economy as well. Today, the US stock market crashed badly. The Japanese market also fell. The Chinese market also faltered. But our stock market was booming. There was a record rise in Sensex and Nifty. Investors earned more than Rs 1 lakh crore in a single day. Big AI companies of America went bankrupt and their shares fell flat on the ground.
But there was a tremendous rise in the shares of our IT companies. Investors withdrew their money from America's Dow Jones in a hurry, while foreign investors pumped money into our stock market. The effect of this was that the value of the dollar fell and our rupee strengthened. On Dhanteras, a decline in the price of gold was seen. In Mumbai alone, 300 tonnes of gold was sold in three days. The price of crude oil came down in the international market.
