Fenomena Bunga Indonesia tersebut menarik pengunjung yang rela mengantre untuk melihat langsung bunga raksasa ini serta mencium aromanya yang menyengat.
Bau khas bunga bangkai digambarkan menyerupai bangkai, daging busuk, hingga kaus kaki kotor.
Pengelola taman menyebut bau inilah yang justru membuat banyak orang merasa penasaran.
Untuk mengakomodasi antusiasme pengunjung, jam operasional taman diperpanjang hingga malam hari.
Fenomena mekarnya bunga bangkai juga terjadi di belahan dunia lain.
Awal tahun ini, bunga serupa mekar di Australian National Botanic Gardens setelah 15 tahun.
Di Sydney, lebih dari 20.000 orang mendatangi Royal Botanic Gardens saat bunga bangkai mekar.
Sebelumnya, bunga bangkai terakhir kali mekar di San Francisco pada Februari 2024 lalu.
