DEUTSCHLAND: „Rechtsradikale Partei! Gefahr für die Demokratie“ Anton Hofreiter warnt

Nach dem starken Abschneiden der AfD in Sachsen-Anhalt äußert sich Grünen-Politiker Anton Hofreiter deutlich. Zwar hätten die Grünen selbst zugelegt, angesichts von knapp 44 Prozent für die AfD könne man insgesamt jedoch nicht von einem Erfolg sprechen.

Hofreiter verteidigt die Abgrenzung gegenüber der AfD und warnt davor, ihre Stärke zu unterschätzen. Gleichzeitig nimmt er Friedrich Merz ins Visier: Mit Blick auf dessen frühere Ankündigung, die AfD halbieren zu wollen, stellt der Moderator fest, nun habe die AfD vielmehr die CDU halbiert. Hofreiters Urteil über den Kanzler fällt deutlich aus: „Friedrich Merz war noch nie der richtige Kanzler für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland.“
