Machtwechsel nach 35 Jahren! Die CDU gewinnt laut Hochrechnungen in Rheinland-Pfalz, die SPD stürzt auf ein Rekordtief! CDU-Herausforderer Gordon Schnieder (50) kann den amtierenden SPD-Ministerpräsidenten Alexander Schweitzer (52) ablösen.Laut ARD-Hochrechnung fällt die SPD um rund neun Punkte auf nur noch 26 Prozent. Historische Schlappe! Die CDU gewinnt leicht hinzu und kommt auf rund 31 Prozent.
Großer Jubel auch bei der AfD: Die Rechtsaußen feiern mit rund 20 Prozent ihren bisher größten Erfolg in einem westdeutschen Bundesland, haben ihr Ergebnis von 2021 mehr als verdoppelt. AfD-Chefin Alice Weidel (47) zufrieden: „Wir haben ein Rekord-Ergebnis eingefahren.“
Die Grünen verlieren gegenüber der letzten Wahl (2021) rund einen Prozentpunkt, kommen auf rund acht Prozent.
Linke (4,5 %) und Freie Wähler (4 %) müssen am Wahlabend um ihren Einzug in den Landtag zittern. Die FDP landet bei miserablen zwei Prozent, muss damit aus Ampel-Regierung und Parlament ausziehen.
