Die Staatsanwaltschaft wirft dem Mann Heimtücke und niedrige Beweggründe vor. Auslöser der Tat soll ein eskalierter Sorgerechtsstreit gewesen sein. Bereits Monate zuvor hatten Ärzte nach einer Hirnblutung bei der gemeinsamen Tochter den Verdacht auf Misshandlung geäußert und Strafanzeige erstattet. Das Jugendamt brachte Mutter und Kind daraufhin in einer Schutzeinrichtung unter. Die Ermittlungen zu den Hintergründen der Tat dauern an.
