JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Momen peringatan Hari Lahir Pancasila menjadi pertemuan perdana kembali antara Prabowo Subianto dan Megawati Soekarnoputri di hadapan publik, setelah terakhir kali keduanya bertemu pada tahun 2019.Sebelum upacara peringatan Hari Lahir Pancasila dimulai, Presiden Prabowo, Wakil Presiden Gibran, Presiden ke-5 RI Megawati Soekarnoputri, dan Wakil Presiden ke-6 RI Try Sutrisno sempat berkumpul bersama di ruang tunggu.
Tampak dalam pertemuan tersebut, Presiden Prabowo dan Megawati saling melempar canda.
Ketua MPR RI yang juga Sekjen Partai Gerindra, Ahmad Muzani, mengungkapkan bahwa suasana pertemuan antara Prabowo dan Megawati berlangsung penuh keakraban dan canda tawa, di sela-sela upacara peringatan Hari Lahir Pancasila.
Muzani mengatakan bahwa Prabowo dan Megawati bahkan sempat berbisik. Ia mengaku tidak mengetahui apa yang dibicarakan saat itu, namun tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa akan ada pertemuan lanjutan antara keduanya.
Hari ini menjadi momen pertemuan perdana antara Prabowo Subianto dan Megawati Soekarnoputri di hadapan publik sejak 2019.
Namun, pada awal April 2025, Prabowo sebenarnya sempat bertemu dengan Megawati di kediaman Megawati. Pertemuan tersebut berlangsung secara empat mata.
