Il senatore del Pd Filippo Sensi ha pubblicato un video sul suo profilo Instagram in cui parla di transfobia, durante i lavori della Commissione Diritti umani in Senato, in cui sottolinea le espressioni di disappunto della Garante dell'infanzia, Marina Terragni, seduta al suo fianco. Ecco cosa scrive Sensi nel post social a corredo del video: «Queste sono le facce della Garante nazionale dell’Infanzia, Marina Terragni, alle mie parole in Commissione Diritti Umani del Senato sulla transfobia e la delicatezza e complessità dei temi della transizione e affermazione di genere in Italia. Ci ho tenuto a mettere a verbale quanto dolore provochi nel nostro Paese la transfobia sulla quale, credo, dovremmo essere tutti d’accordo e uniti. Di tutta risposta, le faccette. Dovrei indignarmi come Vicepresidente di quella Commissione - in quel momento, peraltro, sostituivo la Presidente - per l’atteggiamento poco rispettoso delle Istituzioni, il Senato, dove si svolgeva questo confronto. Ma tant’è. Mi pare, tuttavia, un brutto segno di degrado nel rapporto tra le Istituzioni e di - se posso - cinismo verso tante persone che vivono questa condizione, questo percorso, con tutto quello che comporta. Che ci sia dibattito è fondamentale, che ci siano opinioni nette, appassionate altrettanto, siamo ancora in una democrazia. Che, però, alla sola evocazione della parola transfobia e a un caveat sulla delicatezza di questa conversazione pubblica, la reazione della Garante dell’infanzia sia questa, un po’ le braccia le fa cascare».
