Poche settimane fa, Matteo Salvini, il ministro delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti del governo Meloni, ha dichiarato che “l’estate del 2025 è quella dei lavori” del Ponte sullo Stretto che collegherà la Sicilia alla Calabria, l’ennesima promessa che rischia di essere disattesa. Il progetto, aggiornato nel 2023, prevede un costo di 13,5 miliardi di euro per la realizzazione di un ponte a campata unica lungo 3,3 chilometri, che diventerebbe il più lungo del mondo. Intanto, le associazioni ambientaliste e i residenti criticano il progetto, ritenuto dannoso, anacronistico e troppo costoso.
