Undangan tersebut sebagai bentuk kesetiaan NasDem terhadap pemerintahan Jokowi selama 10 tahun.
Hermawi lantas menceritakan bahwa NasDem pernah diusir dari pemerintah.
Ia pun menyindir partai yang kerap mengusir NasDem ini malah tidak keluar-keluar dari pemerintahan Jokowi.
"Akan undang Presiden Jokowi karena kita bagian dari pemerintahan 10 tahun, setia, dicerca, dicaci-maki, diusir, akhirnya yang ngusir enggak keluar-keluar juga. Yang ngusir kita ternyata enggak keluar juga," ujar Hermawi dalam jumpa pers di NasDem Tower, Jakarta, Jumat (28/6/2024).
Namun demikian, dia tak mengungkap partai apa yang pernah mengusir NasDem dari pemerintah.
