Dalam pernyataannya saat ditemui wartawan, Kamis (12/6/2025), Kawiyan menuntut agar pelaku diberikan sanksi berat jika tertangkap.
Menurutnya aksi yang dilakukan oleh orang tua korban telah melanggar Pasal 76B UU Perlindungan Anak dan 76C.
Dimana atas pelanggaran Pasal 76B, ayah korban layak mendapatkan hukuman penjara maksimal lima tahun dan denda senilai Rp 100 juta.
Sementara untuk pelanggaran Pasal 76C, pelaku harus dikenakan penjara paling lama tiga setengah tahun dan denda Rp 72 juta.
Tak hanya menuntut, KPAI juga melayangkan keprihatinannya atas kasus yang menimpa anak berusia tujuh tahun tersebut.
Seperti yang diketahui sebelumnya, bahwa korban ditemukan oleh pihak satpol PP dalam kondisi yang sangat mengenaskan.
Tubuhnya kurus, lemah, penuh bekas luka bakar, dan ditemukan adanya patah tulang di bagian bahu korban.
Lebih lanjut KPAI turut menyampaikan apresiasi terhadap petugas Satpol PP yang dinilai cepat tanggap menangani kasus penganiayaan tersebut.
Sementara untuk kabar terbaru dari pelaku penganiayaan saat ini tengah diburu oleh pihak kepolisian.
