Diketahui, calon presiden Amerika Serikat (AS) itu pergi ke Milwaukee, Negara Bagian Wisconsin, sehari setelah penembakan atau pada Minggu (14/7/2024).
Dikutip dari The Times of Israel, telingannya pun masih ditutup dengan perban putih.
Diakui Trump, seharusnya ia mati dalam insiden penembakan itu.
Beruntung, saat itu ia memiringkan kepalanya sedikit ke kanan untuk membaca grafik tentang imigran ilegal saat menyampaikan pidato di rapat umum.
Ia lantas menyebut, keberuntungan itu karena Tuhan.
Sehingga, ia masih selamat dan melanjutkan kampanye sebagai calon presiden.
“Karena keberuntungan atau karena Tuhan, banyak orang mengatakan bahwa karena Tuhan saya masih di sini,” katanya.
Ia menggambarkan insiden itu sebagai pengalaman yang sangat surealis.
Dirinya menegaskan tak akan takut seusai nyawanya terancam.
"Kami TIDAK akan TAKUT, tetapi sebaliknya tetap tangguh dalam Iman kami dan Berani dalam menghadapi Kejahatan," tulisnya.
Lebih lanjut dikatakannya, tak akan membiarkan kejahatan menang.
