The Witcher 3 Remastered Path Tracing CPU Performance Re-Tested: Big Gains With Patch 5.01
Digital Foundry is now fully independent! Join the DF Supporter Program and support the team: https://bit.ly/3jEGjvxOur PC performance review for The Witcher 3 Remastered raised some eyebrows when it came to CPU behaviour with path tracing enabled in one of the game's most challenging areas. Most of the analysis was based on version 5.00c, with re-tests carried out on areas highlighed by the 5.01 patch notes - but it seems that 5.01 has also improved CPU performance too, as Rich demonstrates.
Many thanks to Rayan for all of our The Witcher 3 Remastered PC coverage.
