Kapal jenis longboat yang mereka tumpangi terbalik di perairan Pulau Wahr, Ohoi Debut, setelah dihantam gelombang tinggi.
Getruda salah satu warga Ohoi Debut saat ditemui TribunAmbon.com, mengatakan total penumpangnya yang berada di longboat sekitar 12 orang.
"Penumpang terdiri dari 12 orang denah rincian, 7 mahasiswa Universitas Gajah Mada sedangkan 5 orang merupakan warga Ohoi Debut," ungkapnya.

Menurutnya, rombongan berangkat mengambil material pasir di Pulau Wahr sejak pagi sekira pukul 10:00 WIT.
"Mereka berangkat dari pagi, di tengah perjalanan pulang sekira pukul 14:00 WIT dihantam cuaca ekstrem ombak dan gelombang tinggi," terangnya.
Saat ini, lanjutnya korban mahasiswa UGM dirujuk ke RSUD Karel Sadsuitubun Langgur, sementara satu korban lainnya ditangani di RS Hati Kudus Langgur.
