Menurut laporan Al Mayadeen, luas lahan yang terbakar mencapai 1.000 hektar.
Daerah yang dilanda kebakaran meliputi Dataran Tinggi Golan yang dikuasai Israel serta kota-kota di sekitarnya.
Direktur permukiman Dataran Tinggi Golan, Sharon Levy menyebut, api menjalar dengan sangat cepat.
Levy memperkirakan dibutuhkan waktu bertahun-tahun untuk memulihkan hutan yang terbakar.
"Kebakaran seluas 10.000 dunam (satuan luas) adalah kebakaran besar," ujar Levy.
Sementara itu, Militer Israel (IDF) melaporkan sebanyak 17 orang dirawat di rumah sakit akibat kebakaran itu.
Tujuh korban di antaranya merupakan tentara.
Pihak berwenang telah meminta warga yang masih berada di sekitar kebakaran untuk segera pergi.
Sementara dinas pemadam kebakaran Israel terus bekerja memadamkan api.
"Pasukan menguasai lokasi kebakaran, dan pada tahap ini, tidak ada nyawa manusia yang terancam," kata IDF, dikutip dari Al Mayadeen. (Tribun-Video.com)
