Der Versuch, die Bevölkerung mit immer neuen Panikmeldungen in einer Angstspirale fesseln zu wollen bedient sich nach SARS-CoV2, der Vogelgrippe (H5N1) und den Affenpocken nun wieder eines "Exoten": Chikungunya - ein Wort das aus einem der Bantudialekte Ostafrikas, nämlich der Sprache der Makonde, entstammt und die durch die in manchen Situationen auftretenden massiven Gelenksschmerzen und die daraus resultierende "fixierte Schonhaltung" abzuleiten ist: sinngemäß übersetzt heisst es nämlich "der gebeugte Mann".
Dass gerade in den letzten Monaten zwei Impfstoffe gegen CHIK (wie es liebevoll abgekürzt wird) in einem beschleunigten Verfahren zugelassen wurden ist natürlich reiner Zufall.
