Former Alberta MLA Drew Barnes is launching Alberta Now, a new federal party taking inspiration from the Bloc Quebecois which will only stand candidates in Alberta's 37 ridings. Barnes says that for too long the concerns of Albertans have not been adequately addressed by MPs in the House of Commons and that only a new federal party led by Albertans, for Albertans, will be able to advance Alberta's interests in Ottawa.
