Lea/Vea esta entrevista en nuestra web: https://www.democracynow.org/es/2026/9/8/cuando_se_va_la_junta_deHace diez años, Estados Unidos aprobó para Puerto Rico la llamada ley PROMESA para reestructurar la deuda de este territorio estadounidense a través de una junta supervisora, no elegida democráticamente, conocida popularmente como “la Junta”, que mantiene hasta el día de hoy una amplia autoridad para determinar la política fiscal y pública. “En estos diez años se han destinado cientos de millones de dólares de fondos públicos de puertorriqueños, que pudiesen utilizarse en muchísimas cosas. Estoy seguro que las necesidades son muchas que pudieran usar esos recursos, sin embargo, se han destinado para la operación de la Junta y para el pago de asesores y abogados que han estado trabajando en los casos de quiebra que se han llevado bajo la ley PROMESA”, señala el periodista de investigación puertorriqueño Luis Valentín.
