KRIEG GEGEN IRAN: Luftalarm in Nato-Gebiet! Türkei fängt iranische ballistische Rakete abEin aus dem Iran abgefeuertes Geschoss ist nach Angaben des türkischen Verteidigungsministeriums von einem Nato-Abwehrsystem abgefangen worden. Das ballistische Geschoss war in Richtung des türkischen Luftraums unterwegs und durchquerte den Luftraum des Irak und Syriens, wie das Ministerium mitteilte. Ein Teil der Abwehrrakete fiel demnach in der Grenzprovinz Hatay auf eine freie Fläche, es gab keine Verletzten. Der Kommunikationschef des Präsidialamts, Burhanettin Duran, schrieb auf X, es habe sich um eine Rakete gehandelt.
Die Türkei verhält sich im Krieg gegen den Iran neutral und hat sich lange um eine diplomatische Lösung des Konflikts bemüht. Der türkische Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan hatte sich am Wochenende besorgt über die amerikanisch-israelischen Angriffe auf den Iran gezeigt und alle Seiten zur Zurückhaltung aufgerufen. Er warnte, der Nahe Osten, könnte zu einem «Feuerring» werden, sollte der Konflikt nicht eingedämmt werden.
