DEUTSCHLAND: "From the river to the sea" - Hessen will Strafe für Parolen gegen Existenz von Israel

Hessens Justizminister Christian Heinz fordert bundesweite Strafen, wenn das Existenzrecht Israels geleugnet wird. Nach einer Mehrheit von 14 Bundesländern im Bundesrat liegt die Entscheidung nun beim Bundestag. Wer öffentlich das Existenzrecht Israels bestreitet und damit antisemitische Gewalt oder Willkür fördert, soll laut dem hessischen Gesetzentwurf künftig mit bis zu fünf Jahren Haft bestraft werden können. Im WELT-Interview erklärt Heinz, wie Demonstrationsauflagen gegen israelfeindliche Parolen durchgesetzt werden sollen und welche Bedeutung die Initiative für Gerichte und Behörden hat. Unterstützung kommt auch vom Zentralrat der Juden: Dessen Vorsitzender Josef Schuster stehe laut Heinz nicht nur hinter dem Vorschlag, sondern „sogar vor dem Vorschlag“.
