Bundesverwaltungsgericht hebt Compact-Verbot auf
Das Bundesverwaltungsgericht in Leipzig hat das Verbot des Compact-Magazins aufgehoben, das die damalige Bundesinnenministerin Nancy Faeser im Sommer 2024 erlassen hatte. Damit kann das rechtsextreme Magazin weiter erscheinen.„Das Grundgesetz garantiert selbst den Feinden der Freiheit die Meinungs- und Pressefreiheit“, begründete der Vorsitzende Richter Ingo Kraft die Entscheidung. Zwar gebe es zahlreiche polemische und zugespitzte Äußerungen. Die Grenze zur Verfassungsfeindlichkeit sei jedoch nicht überschritten, so das Gericht.
Auch die von Compact bedienten Verschwörungstheorien und geschichtsrevisionistischen Betrachtungen fielen unter den Schutz der Meinungsfreiheit und „vermögen das Vereinsverbot nicht zu rechtfertigen“.
